Zucchini is a summer squash: sow 4 to 6 seeds per mound after frost once the soil is 65°F and thin to two plants, or set transplants 2 feet apart.

Pick fruit young, about 7 to 8 inches long; one plant can give six or more fruit a week, and it needs a container of at least 5 gallons.
